Natalie Haynes is an English writer, broadcaster and classicist, and she describes herself as a recovering comedian. Her novels draw on the ancient world: A Thousand Ships follows the women left behind after the fall of Troy, while Stone Blind is a dark fantasy with classical roots. Both books sit between history, myth and fantasy, returning again and again to the old stories that shape her work.
