Nick Joaquin

Nick Joaquin (1917–2004) was a Filipino writer and journalist best known for his short stories and novels in English, which he also published under the pen name Quijano de Manila. He was named a National Artist of the Philippines for Literature. His books include The Woman Who Had Two Navels, a magical realist coming-of-age work, and Cave and Shadows, a detective novel.
