Nicole Dennis-Benn is a Jamaican novelist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her debut, Here Comes the Sun, published in 2016, follows two sisters in Jamaica whose lives are bound up with the resort economy and the secrets they keep from one another, and her novel Patsy is a coming-of-age story. Her fiction explores gender, sexuality, and Jamaican life and its diaspora, and she writes openly as a lesbian and feminist author.
