Patrick Modiano

Patrick Modiano is a French novelist who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2014. He writes autofiction, a blend of autobiography and historical fiction, and keeps returning to France during the Second World War and to his own family's past. He is sometimes compared to Marcel Proust for his preoccupation with the past.
