Paula McLain is an American author best known for The Paris Wife, a novel that fictionalizes Ernest Hemingway's first marriage and became a long-time New York Times bestseller. Born in 1965, McLain has also published two poetry collections, a memoir about growing up in the foster system, and the novel A Ticket to Ride. Circling the Sun follows the aviator Beryl Markham through 1920s Kenya.
