Phil Reade's books follow Thomas Blume, a former New York detective who goes to London in Hard Fall, a dark, hard-boiled mystery with a noir feel about revenge and corruption. Snow Burn continues the series as a psychological thriller. Both are fiction, and both keep the focus on one detective working through unfamiliar and dangerous ground.
