Pierce Brown

Pierce Brown is an American science fiction author who writes the Red Rising series, which follows Darrow, a Red living under the surface of Mars who is remade to pass as a Gold. The series runs from Red Rising (2014) through Golden Son, Morning Star, Iron Gold, Dark Age and Light Bringer (2023), with a six-issue prequel comic, Red Rising: Sons of Ares, published in 2015. Brown's books mix space opera and dystopian adventure, with a rebellion played out inside a rigid, color-coded hierarchy.
