Regina Scheer

Regina Scheer (born in 1950) is a German writer and historian, and she writes novels as well as history. Gott Wohnt Im Wedding is set in an old apartment block in Berlin's Wedding district, where neighbours of different backgrounds and generations share a house marked by Jewish history, migration and flight. Machandel is a novel of historical and wartime fiction. Scheer's books pay close attention to memory, loss and what it means to belong somewhere.
