Richard Bach is an American writer whose books center on flying, both in fiction and non-fiction. Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, both from the 1970s, were among that decade's biggest sellers. Most of his books draw on events from his own life, and he has flown as a hobby since age 17. The Bridge Across Forever is a memoir, and One is a novel.
