Robert Munsch

Robert Munsch is an American-born Canadian children's author who was born in Pittsburgh and moved to Canada in 1975 to work at the University of Guelph. He builds his stories with children, taking events from their own lives and stretching them into the ridiculous or fantastical, and that method gives books like Love You Forever, Smelly Socks and The Paper Bag Princess their playful energy. His work has earned him a Juno Award, induction into the Order of Canada and a star on Canada's Walk of Fame.
