Fonseca's books often deal with crime, as in High Art, a Rio de Janeiro novel about a lawyer pulled into a brutal double murder, and The Lost Manuscript, a psychological thriller. Vast Emotions and Imperfect Thoughts collects Fonseca's short stories.
