Salina R. Cruz's books are fiction that moves between suspense and quieter character studies. Bystander is a contemporary psychological thriller following a young woman named Anya through a post-conflict world, where she uncovers a conspiracy and has to face what she has kept buried. The Falling of Leaves turns to literary fiction, shaped as a coming-of-age story.
