Sara Gruen

Sara Gruen is a Canadian-American author born in 1969 in Vancouver, and the writer of Water for Elephants, a novel set with a traveling circus during the Great Depression. Her other books include Ape House, a contemporary literary novel, and At the Water's Edge, a historical adventure. Gruen received the Alex Award for young adult literature in 2007.
