Sara Nisha Adams's novels are contemporary fiction with a coming-of-age streak. The Reading List is set in London and follows Mukesh, a widower, and Aleisha, a young woman who finds his list of books and goes looking for him. Their friendship grows through stories, and the novel is a gentle look at grief and connection. The Twilight Garden sits alongside it as contemporary fiction with a coming-of-age thread.
