Sarah Pekkanen's books are suspense fiction, moving between psychological thrillers and mysteries. The Wife Between Us, written with Greer Hendricks, follows a woman watching her ex-husband get ready to remarry, in a story where the obvious reading of events keeps turning out to be wrong. The Women in White is a mystery that draws on both detective fiction and the thriller.
