Shel Israel was a writer and speaker on social media issues whose books examined how technology reshapes business. His books include Naked Conversations, written with Robert Scoble in 2006 on how blogs were changing the way companies talk with customers, and Twitterville, a 2009 book on business uses of Twitter. With Scoble he later wrote Age of Context and The Fourth Transformation, which looks at augmented reality and artificial intelligence. Israel died in August 2025.
