Shilpi Somaya Gowda

Shilpi Somaya Gowda is a Canadian novelist who writes about family, identity and belonging across cultures. She was born in 1970 and raised in Toronto, and she now lives in California with her family. Her debut, Secret Daughter, grew out of a summer she spent volunteering at an Indian orphanage and became a New York Times bestseller, followed by The Golden Son, The Shape of Family, and A Great Country.
