Steven D. Levitt is an American economist best known for Freakonomics, which he wrote with Stephen J. Dubner. His work on crime, including the link between legalized abortion and crime rates, won him the 2003 John Bates Clark Medal. The series continues with SuperFreakonomics and Think Like a Freak, both written with the same collaborators' approach to everyday questions about incentives and behavior.
