Stewart Farrar was an English screenwriter and novelist who became a prominent figure in modern Wicca. He wrote episodes for television series including Dr. Finlay's Casebook, Armchair Theatre and Crossroads, and his radio scripts won a Writer's Guild Award. After his initiation into Alexandrian Wicca in 1970 he wrote What Witches Do, one of the earliest books on the newly growing religion, and later worked with his wife Janet Farrar on The Witches' Goddess, A Witches' Bible, Eight Sabbats for Witches and The Witches' Way.
