Suzy Lee is a Korean picture-book illustrator and author who works without words, playing with the space between reality and fantasy. She is best known for the Border Trilogy, Mirror, Wave, and Shadow, which use the center binding of a book as the line a story crosses. In Mirror, a girl's dance with her reflection turns into tension. In 2022 Lee received the Hans Christian Andersen Award, after being shortlisted for it in 2016.
