Tanya Talaga is a Canadian journalist and author of Anishinaabe and Polish descent, who spent more than twenty years at the Toronto Star and now writes a column for The Globe and Mail. She is best known for Seven Fallen Feathers, which examines the deaths of seven Indigenous high school students in Thunder Bay, Ontario and won the 2018 RBC Taylor Prize for non-fiction. Her other books include All Our Relations and The Knowing, a 2024 retelling of Canadian history and residential schools through an Indigenous lens.
