Thomas Ligotti

Thomas Ligotti is an American horror author, philosopher and writer, born in 1953. His fiction is rooted mostly in weird fiction, and critics have described it as philosophical horror, often in the form of short stories and novellas in the tradition of gothic fiction. Among the books under his name are Songs of a Dead Dreamer and Grimscribe, the fiction in Teatro Grottesco, and the philosophical nonfiction of The Conspiracy Against the Human Race, where the pessimistic, nihilistic worldview Ligotti is known for comes through most plainly.
