Tsitsi Dangarembga

Tsitsi Dangarembga is a Zimbabwean novelist, playwright and filmmaker whose debut, Nervous Conditions (1988), was the first novel published in English by a Black Zimbabwean woman. It is the first book of the Tambudzai Trilogy, whose third volume, This Mournable Body, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2020. She also wrote The Book of Not, and her honours include the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and the PEN Pinter Prize.
