Valeria Luiselli

Valeria Luiselli is a Mexican-American author who writes both novels and essays. Her debut novel, Faces in the Crowd, follows a young mother in Mexico City who tries to write about her years as a translator in New York, and her essay collection Sidewalks and the nonfiction book Tell Me How It Ends sit alongside it. Her 2015 novel The Story of My Teeth won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction, and Lost Children Archive, from 2019, won the Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction.
