Yuta Takahashi

Yuta Takahashi's books are contemporary fiction with a touch of magical realism, built around the Chibineko Kitchen, a Tokyo Bay restaurant where a traditional Japanese meal can bring diners a brief reunion with someone they have lost. The series includes The Chibineko Kitchen, The Calico Cat at the Chibineko Kitchen and The Curious Kitten at the Chibineko Kitchen. Food, memory and grief run through these quiet, literary stories.
