Description

In Chuck Palahniuk's darkly satirical novel, Tender Branson is a member of the Creedish Church, a religious death cult with a peculiar set of beliefs. When the cult leaders commit suicide, it becomes the duty of the remaining members to follow suit, regardless of their location. As Tender finds himself targeted by an unknown assailant systematically eliminating the cult's survivors, he becomes an unwilling national sensation, the last living member of his doomed community. This biting and revealing look at the world explores themes of faith, duty, and the media's obsession with tragedy.
