Description

Piranesi lives in the House, a vast labyrinth of halls filled with statues and tides. He believes himself to be one of only two living inhabitants, the other being the kindly "Other" who visits him twice a week. As Piranesi meticulously documents the wonders of his world, he uncovers evidence of a forgotten past and a conspiracy that threatens the very fabric of his reality. This novel is a profound exploration of identity, memory, and the nature of truth, told with Susanna Clarke's signature blend of the fantastical and the deeply human.
