"when does she stop speaking? when are you ever done with the story of someone you love?" jesus christ i didn't mean to read this in one day but i couldn't put it down. this was so heartfelt and winding and beautifully written. is it a perfect depiction of a dystopian society in literary? dear god no, but it does all it needs to do and carries bird's story... marie's story.
