Description
A vibrant, unflinching collection, IRL follows Teebs, a queer NDN artist moving through the exhilaration and disorientation of modern life—where connection is both promised and complicated by the constant hum of the digital world. Across poems that range from intimate memory to city-lit immediacy, Teebs confronts desire, identity, and the aftershocks of trauma while searching for a way to be truly present. With sharp wit and deep vulnerability, Tommy Pico renders belonging as something you build in real time, not something you simply find. The book’s themes—self-discovery, visibility, and the messy beauty of survival—land with emotional force and lyrical momentum, making IRL a resonant portrait of what it means to live, be seen, and keep going.
