Aging Hollywood legend Evelyn Hugo, known for her unparalleled beauty and scandalous life, has decided it's time to reveal the truth behind her rise to stardom and the seven men she married. She selects an unassuming magazine reporter, Monique Grant, to pen her biography, a choice that baffles the media and Monique herself. As Evelyn recounts her journey from the 1950s to her departure from the spotlight, she unveils a tale of fierce ambition, enduring friendships, and a forbidden love that defined her existence. However, as the narrative draws closer to the present, Monique discovers that Evelyn's story is inextricably and tragically linked to her own.
