Description
Nina Askew is embracing her fortieth birthday with a newfound sense of freedom, ready to shed the constraints of her past and finally get the puppy she's always desired. Instead of a playful companion, she finds herself with Fred, an overweight, melancholic dog who, against all odds, leads her to her charming, much younger neighbor, Alex. Despite Alex's apparent perfection as a single ER doctor, Nina grapples with the significant age difference, convinced that anyone but him would be a more suitable romantic prospect. Yet, as Nina navigates a series of uninspiring dates, she increasingly finds herself drawn to the kind-hearted, dog-loving doctor next door, questioning if her initial reservations are overshadowing a genuine connection.
