Description
In this ambitious novel, a man named Mirkovic grapples with a past steeped in historical atrocities and personal guilt as he plans a clandestine transaction. His obsession with the darkest chapters of the 20th century, from the Armenian Genocide to the Yugoslav Wars, fuels his present actions and relationships. The narrative weaves together Mirkovic's personal story with a sweeping, often brutal, recounting of historical events, exploring the profound connections between individual trauma and collective suffering. Through a unique and powerful voice, the book delves into the lingering impact of violence and the search for redemption in a world marked by horror.
