Description
Detective Jimmy Perez is called to the remote island of Unst in Shetland following the disappearance of a young woman, a case made all the more baffling by the simultaneous appearance of a local ghost story. As he delves into the investigation, Perez uncovers a tangled web of secrets and long-held resentments among a group of old university friends who have gathered on the island for a wedding. The stark beauty of the Shetland landscape serves as a dramatic backdrop as Perez races against time to find the missing woman, confronting the darkness that lies beneath the surface of seemingly idyllic lives and challenging the boundaries between myth and reality.
