Description
In this compelling novel, a narrator finds his life fractured between two distinct realities: the vibrant, nostalgic world of his exiled Czech friends and the structured environment of a modern Canadian university. When murder suddenly intrudes upon both of these disparate lives, the narrator is drawn into investigations that blur the lines between memory and the present. This intricate narrative explores themes of identity, exile, and the unexpected ways the past can haunt the future, all while weaving a suspenseful mystery.
