Description
In this unique collection, Miranda July turns her distinctive gaze toward the classified ads of Los Angeles, seeking out the individuals who place notices for everything from used furniture to psychic readings. What begins as a quest for inspiration for her film project evolves into a series of intimate, often surprising encounters. Through July's keen observation and empathetic voice, these ordinary people and their everyday transactions reveal extraordinary depths of human connection and the quiet dramas of life. The result is a poignant and humorous exploration of desire, loneliness, and the unexpected ways we reach out to one another in the modern world.
