Description
In this unflinching and darkly humorous collection, Dahlia de la Cerda plunges readers into the lives of Mexican women who refuse to be victims. From narco-wives and influencers to assassins and petty criminals, these protagonists navigate a brutal world with cunning, resilience, and a fierce determination to survive. De la Cerda's prose is sharp and uncompromising, eschewing moral judgment to deliver a raw, often violent, yet surprisingly tender portrait of contemporary Mexican society through its most marginalized voices. These interconnected stories form a powerful and multifaceted debut, cementing de la Cerda as a vital new talent.
