Description

In the rugged wilderness of 18th-century Maine, young Matt is left to fend for himself when his father must travel for supplies. Facing the harsh realities of survival alone, Matt's resilience is tested by the unforgiving environment and unexpected dangers. His life takes a turn when he encounters an Indian chief and his grandson, Attean, who introduce him to their ways of life and survival. As a tentative friendship blossoms between the two boys, Matt learns invaluable skills, but the long absence of his father leaves him at a crossroads, questioning his future and the possibility of ever returning home.
