Description
When a coastal town’s strange disappearances begin to echo through the tides, a reluctant investigator and a small circle of locals uncover a pattern that feels older than any map. As they follow clues from salt-stained folklore to the hidden machinery of the deep, they must confront what people have been willing to ignore—and what the sea has been patiently keeping. Blending eerie atmosphere with sharp character work, this story explores the pull of fear, the cost of curiosity, and the thin line between myth and survival. With T. Kingfisher’s signature mix of dark whimsy and heartfelt resilience, the novel delivers a suspenseful, supernatural plunge where every answer raises the next question.
