Cursed Bunny

Description

A wildly inventive debut of surreal, chilling fables, this collection blends horror, sci-fi, fairy-tale logic, and speculative dread into stories that refuse easy categories. In apartment hallways, clinics, and underground arenas, everyday spaces curdle into nightmares as monsters—sometimes furry, sometimes human—reveal how power, gender, and exploitation can hide in plain sight. With absurdist humor and a sometimes literal bite, these tales take on the patriarchy, capitalism, and the reach of big tech, turning bodily autonomy and social control into unsettling, thought-provoking questions. Bora Chung’s sharp, frenetic style—translated by Anton Hur—creates a world that feels both intimate and uncanny, where each story is its own strange trap.
