Description
A sharp and introspective novel from a celebrated contemporary voice, this story follows Ellinor, a woman adrift in her own life, who finds herself increasingly disconnected from her past and present. When a colleague's sudden disappearance leads her to an unexpected assignment with the Norwegian Postal Workers Union, Ellinor embarks on a six-month journey that challenges her perceptions of connection and self. Through Hjorth's signature spare and rhythmic prose, the novel delves into themes of loneliness, the power of the written word, and the surprising intimacy found in the most ordinary of human endeavors.
