Description

When a wolf shifter learns that an ancient prophecy has already “chosen” their future, they’re forced to confront the unsettling truth that fate may be less like a path and more like a trap. Pulled between supernatural factions and dangerous loyalties, they must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice—and who they’re willing to trust—to carve out a life that feels truly their own. As forbidden connections deepen and expectations tighten, the romance turns into a high-stakes test of desire, identity, and agency. Blending immersive paranormal worldbuilding with emotionally charged character dynamics, this story challenges the idea that destiny is fixed, proving that love and self-determination can rewrite even the most certain outcomes.

3.5 ⭐

This book took me right back to the 2014–2015 Wattpad era, when I was completely obsessed with werewolf stories. Thank you so much Book Sirens for giving me an opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.

But as much as I wanted to love it, I can’t give it more than 3.5 stars.

The story felt like it was constantly building up to something big—a major twist, an emotional fallout, or even just a classic werewolf trope moment like the lead’s ex showing up, the main character getting kidnapped, or a dramatic misunderstanding between the leads. But none of that ever happened. There was no real payoff. The “big scene” the book was clearly gearing up for just never came.

On top of that, we got almost no information about the mutants, which felt like a wasted opportunity. And the female lead’s werewolf shift? Completely predictable. No surprise, no tension, just a box ticked.

It had the potential to be a standout in the genre, but it ended up feeling unfinished and underwhelming.

Here's hoping the sequel delivers what this one promised but didn’t deliver.

PS: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
