Description
In the quiet French countryside of 1999, a single, impulsive act by twelve-year-old Antoine Courtin leads to a tragic accident and a secret he carries into adulthood. The accidental death of a young boy in the woods is concealed, and Antoine escapes suspicion, but the event casts a long shadow over his life. Years later, as a successful doctor in Paris, Antoine's carefully constructed world begins to unravel when a woman from his past reappears with a child and the discovery of his victim's body reopens the cold case. Pulled back to the town he desperately tried to leave behind, Antoine must confront the devastating consequences of his buried secret and the choices that threaten to destroy his future.
