Description
In this unflinching memoir, Andrew Meredith grapples with the profound fallout of his father's public disgrace and the subsequent unraveling of his family. Returning to his childhood home, Meredith takes on a unique and somber profession: that of a 'remover,' tasked with collecting the bodies of those who have died in isolation. Through this intimate and often harrowing work, he confronts his own arrested development and begins a complex journey toward understanding and perhaps forgiveness. Meredith's prose is both stark and tender, offering a powerful exploration of familial bonds, the weight of secrets, and the possibility of redemption.
