Description
When sixth-grader Laura Sibbie discovers a mysterious hat, she and her friends turn it into the symbol of an exciting secret club—complete with rules, passwords, and embarrassing insurance to keep members loyal. But rivalries, a hidden crush, and a mischievous counter-club send their carefully guarded secrets—and increasingly elaborate pranks—spinning out of control. As the fun gives way to humiliation and hurt feelings, Laura and her friends must confront the consequences of rebellion, friendship, and the choices they make. With humor and sharp insight into the pressures of growing up, this lively school story explores loyalty, honesty, and the complicated social world of sixth grade.
