Description
In the rugged mountains of northern Albania, a young man named Gjorg finds his life irrevocably altered by the ancient and unforgiving code of Kanun. When his brother is murdered, Gjorg is bound by tradition to exact revenge, a act that in turn marks him for death. Granted a month of grace, Gjorg must navigate the perilous landscape of blood feuds and honor, all while confronting the brutal inevitability of his fate. This powerful novel explores themes of tradition, fate, and the devastating cycle of violence that ensnares individuals and communities alike.
