Description
In the waning moments of his presidency, a controversial pardon is granted to Joel Backman, a powerful Washington figure imprisoned for six years. Unbeknownst to many, this pardon is orchestrated by the CIA, who believe Backman possesses secrets that could jeopardize a vital global surveillance system. Smuggled out of the country and given a new identity in Italy, Backman's newfound peace is short-lived as his location is strategically leaked to international intelligence agencies. The CIA's ultimate game is to observe, waiting to see which nation will succeed in eliminating Backman, thereby answering a critical question about the compromised secrets.
