Description
When an insurance investigator arrives in a sleepy Finnish coastal town transformed into a garish tropical resort, he expects to uncover fraud—not become entangled in a baffling murder case. As secrets surface beneath the palm trees and artificial sunshine, the investigation draws him into a dangerous world of eccentric suspects, buried resentments, and unexpected desire. Blending razor-sharp wit, suspense, and offbeat romance, this darkly comic thriller explores reinvention, loneliness, and the desperate lengths people go to escape ordinary life.
