Molly, a contemporary teen aging out of the foster care system, is tasked with assisting elderly Vivian sort through a lifetime of belongings. As they delve into Vivian's past, Molly uncovers the harrowing story of the "orphan trains" that transported displaced children across America in the early 20th century. This journey into memory reveals shared struggles of resilience, the enduring impact of secrets, and the profound possibility of finding connection and healing in unexpected places.
