Description
In 1921, war veteran and explorer William Pike joins an expedition deep into the Amazon in search of a lost Incan temple, hoping to escape the trauma of the First World War. A thousand years in the future, humanity faces extinction, and a scientist’s desperate mission leads her toward a mysterious alien civilization and an extraordinary connection across time. Blending inventive science fiction with a deeply emotional romance, the story explores love, isolation, trauma, and the fragile bonds that link people across seemingly impossible distances. Jeff Lemire’s atmospheric, visually inventive storytelling creates an ambitious genre-bending graphic novel that is both intimate and epic.
