Description
When Camilla Cream wakes up one morning covered in colorful stripes, her carefully constructed world of conformity unravels in the most unexpected way. Desperate to fit in and maintain her popularity, Camilla has spent her life doing exactly what others expect of her—until this mysterious affliction forces her to confront who she really is beneath the surface. As the stripes multiply and change with her emotions and the opinions of those around her, Camilla embarks on a journey of self-discovery that challenges everything she thought she knew about belonging and acceptance. Through David Shannon's vibrant illustrations and clever storytelling, this whimsical tale explores the cost of always trying to please everyone and the liberation that comes from embracing your true self. A delightful and thought-provoking picture book that reminds readers of all ages that authenticity is far more valuable than conformity.
